How long is the free trial? Does it need a credit card?
The free trial is for 14 days. No credit card is required.
How are licensed users calculated?
Alcion will only charge for protected users that have an associated policy which allows backups. Our plans have a minimum billing requirement of 5 protected users.
For partner subscriptions covering multiple accounts, the minimum billing is calculated by multiplying the number of accounts by 5 protected users. However, each individual account within a partner subscription is not required to have a minimum of 5 protected users, as long as the total number of protected users across all accounts meets the minimum billing requirement.
Do you ever charge extra for backup storage or network fees?
No, all storage and network bandwidths costs are included in the per-user license fee.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, you can change your subscription plan at any time. Upgrades will be effective immediately and charged on a pro-rated basis. Downgrades will be effective at the start of your next subscription period.
Do you have a reseller or MSP pricing plan?
Yes, we offer tiered discounts and additional support for all our channel partners. Please email info@alcion.ai for more information.
What plan is included in the free trial?
The “Security” plan is included in the free trial.
Does Alcion offer discounts?
Yes, all annual subscriptions are discounted up to 40%.
What are my payment options?
We accept all major credit cards. Contact sales@alcion.ai if you need an invoice with payment via PO, ACH, wire, or check or need to work with a preferred channel partner.
What happens if I protect additional users while on an annual contract?
Additional users licenses will by default be billed based on usage at the higher monthly rate or, if desired, co-termed at the lower annual rate for the remaining duration of your contract.
Can I only backup SharePoint site or other non-user specific resources?
Yes, this is possible. Our pricing covers deployments with a natural mix of protected user and non-user resources. If you are interested in predominantly protecting SharePoint or Teams, please contact us at info@alcion.ai for a custom quote.
What is the default data retention policy?
For non-enterprise plans, Alcion retains 3 backups per day for 30 days, 1 daily backup for 90 days, 1 weekly backup for 26 weeks, and then monthly backups forever (or for one year for the Essentials plan).
